Oscar's Party Plans

Are you tired of Oscar Party prep yet? I'm not! Today I've been working on decorations, updating the menu, and even put together a prize for the winner of the ballot tally. Want to see?

I created Twig and Thistle's stand-up Oscar statuette, with a few alterations, using the same gold card stock I used for the ballots. And then today, I was browsing around Wal-Mart and came upon a can of gold glitter spray paint! I new exactly where to use it, and snagged up a bottle.

I love the way the glitter catches the light! I'll probably add one more coat of glitter before Sunday night, but I am crushing on this right now for sure! I also love that the spray made everything really easy and clean, as opposed to using glue and loose glitter.

Also while at Wal-Mart I grabbed some candy {you know, the ones in boxes like they sell at the movie theater}. Candy + plastic popcorn box from Party City + gold star from Wal-Mart = winner gift basket!!
